Giro Cinder MIPS Road Bike Helmet
Based off the Giro Synthe, one of the best road helmets of 2016, the Cinder MIPS scores in all the right places and at nearly half the cost. Let's start with MIPS, the impact protection system that has been making waves in the bike world for a few years now. MIPS is a small, thin liner on the inside of the helmet that further protects your head and brain from oblique impacts and rotational forces. This added piece of safety lets your head move in relation to the helmet in the event of a crash, reducing the severity of the impact. A feature normally reserved for a high cost helmet, we're now seeing MIPS in all price ranges which is good news for you. Add on top of that the Thermoformed SL Rollcage, an added skeleton to the helmet to keep everything in one piece after an impact, saving you from any secondary impacts that may occur at the tail end of a crash.
Adjust your fit with ease using Roc Loc 5 and dial in your comfort by adjusting vertical position and tension of the Cinder MIPS with one hand. This allows you to fine tune your fit in a variety of ways. Top that with 26 air vents that allow air to flow easily through the helmet and over the top of your head creating a cooling wind tunnel effect. The Cinder MIPS is a great example that style, comfort, and top level safety features don't always require a high price tag.
